What age children do you cater for?
Ideally, Steff and Nonsense shows are best suited to 3 - 7 year olds, although we will happily adjust the show for pre-schools and primary schools. We do not do parties for 1 and 2 year olds unless there will be at least 6 or more children aged 3 and above.

What is the ideal number of children to invite?
Between 15 and 30 is ideal if you have a village hall or similar. At least 10 is ideal to create a lively happy party atmosphere. We don't have maximum numbers, although 40 is a sensible upper limit for a birthday party. Depending on the type of event, this can vary greatly - for instance we may have an audience of 2-300 at a school or fete etc.

Do you do parties at home?
I will do parties at home as long as you have a LARGE room with plenty of space for jumping around and dancing, with not too many distractions. I recommend feeding the children at a table (or outside on the grass in the summer) because I have seen too many parties with blackcurrant squash and chocolate cake trodden into the carpet.

What makes a good party venue?
For just a few pounds it is usually possible to hire a local village hall, and I can provide you with suggestions of nearby halls. Here is a list of excellent village halls in the Ipswich / Suffolk area.
For magic shows and bubble shows I do insist that the venue has good parking right outside, and is on the ground floor because of the amount of equipment I need. I charge a £50 surcharge for any venues without parking, or on the first floor, because it adds a lot of extra time to my setup and pack up times, and makes it harder to get to another show.

Do I need to provide anything?
We bring absolutely everything we need with us. All you need to do is feed the children, and arrange party bags if you choose to do so. All the children will be taking a balloon animal home with them, so some parents just offer a piece of cake.

Do you give out sweets etc?
All our games are very silly non-elimination games. With no winners and no losers, it means we don't need to use sweets as prizes which also means we don't have to worry about allergies etc.

How far in advance should I book?
The answer to that is "as early as possible". If you have a particular date in mind it is worth booking a few months early. We have got bookings in the diary for 12 months time, and most December dates will be fully booked by August or September. However, having said that, there is always a chance your particular date is still available, so do give us a call.

My child has seen you before. Will you do a different show?
I can vary about 50% of the show, so it is a bit different, but with this age range I find that repetition actually adds to the excitement. If I vary the show too much, I have the children asking why I missed out their favourite part! Like Disney films, children are happy to watch the show over and over again.

How far will you travel?
I am based in Woodbridge, near Ipswich, but Im happy to travel all around Suffolk, as well as parts of Essex, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. For any journeys of less than 40 miles there is no charge for travelling expenses.

Can I have the party outside?
Only if you have a VERY good marquee with a solid floor. There are so many elements at risk with an outdoor show - wind and rain will ruin props as will muddy floors, sunshine and heat will mean a very restless audience and most of all, the unpredictability of British weather means we could find ourselves running for shelter mid-way through the party!

Will you do our charity event for free or a reduced fee?
I already support 3 charities that are close to my heart. I'm very sorry but I am unable to do any further events.
